Energy Scan Failure, Instrument Error, Establish Scan Time Out, Fatal Scan Error

Would you please adivse on the nominal energy?

I replaced the source in 2013 and laser in 2014.  Occasionally, our Spectrum 100 will display an error message:  "Instrument Validation: Energy Scan Failure, Instrument Error, Establish Scan Time Out, Fatal Scan Error."  What can cause this error message?

What is the specification for the energy output?  The Energy display shows 593 and the Centre Burst min-max is 0.13.

It's unlikely to be a source problem. The expected, average life of a laser is 4 years. If this energy you report is with an open beam, then you have a more complex issue. The energy I would expect with and open beam, with any accessories removed, would be >5500 counts. I depends on the type of accessory plugged in that will determine the energy otherwise. Scan errors can be caused by weak lasers. You can email me if you need further assistance. Iberridge@isocount.com

Thank you for responding to my question.  An UATR (diamond/ZnSe) is installed.
