1200 BET instrument
I am using quantachrome nova 1200, BET instrument. And there was an error which prevented me from continue working on the instrument even after restarting it.
the error is two dashed lines on the screen which I could not get rid off it.
Anyone has an idea what is going one?

The dashed lines are LCD blocks on the main display. You either have a display problem or the firmware is not booting. You can connect an external monitor and keyboard to the rear of the instrument to get a direct link to the on-board computer. Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot the CPU and hold down the DELETE key. If you can break into the BIOS, the CPU works -- reboot again w/o holding down the DELETE key. If the rear monitor does not display the welcome page you would normally see at bootup, my first thought is firmware corruption -- you need a clean firmware copy uploaded to the CPU.
