Autosampler Down--Manual insertion?

Howdy,

Our autosampler is currently experiencing problems with one of the potentiometers in the main carrier belt.  While it is out for repairs, is there a way to manually insert the vial into the port and tell the GC to drop the vial and begin running it?  I've heard rumors of a mysterious button you can push, but I can't seem to find it.

Any ideas?

There are advanced functions for testing and troubleshooting but they are not designed to run a sample without the use of the autosampler assembly. Dan

Thanks!  Do you know if there is any way to run a sample using the headspace sampler without the actual vial gripper (i.e. I could manually be the "vial gripper")?
