Features of C-R8A

High performance at low cost The C-R8A inherits proven algorithm of Shimadzu Chromatopac. The C-R8A has a Floppy disk drive for data storage, LCD display with back light (40 characters x 2 lines), Optical link and RS-232C interfaces, Hardware validation software program are standard features. Thermal parallel printer uses conventional economical thermal chart paper or AF (Anti-Fade) thermal paper for long time storage. The C-R8A supports abundant quantitation calculation methods, and flexible report format. The C-R8A has real time 2 channel digital data processing capability. (2 channel analog data processing is possible by adding an optional board.)

Easy operation, Detailed instruction supplied in a CD-ROM The C-R8A has two menu types; for beginner and for expert. Anyone can operate the C-R8A referring to the message appearing in the LCD display. For the users of the C-R5A/6A, the parameters and commands that are frequently used are assigned in dedicated keys. Therefore training time and cost are minimized. For the expert users, the C-R8A has Key history function and User definable key assignment (command allocation) function. The C-R8A comes with a basic instruction manual, a pocket reference and a CD-ROM which contains detailed instruction for quick reference.

GLP/GMP/ISO support features To support GLP/GMP/ISO, the C-R8A includes a hardware validation software program, VP features based on Shimadzu VP concept, accessible by the VP key, several log functions, security, sample index functions.

Network capability The C-R8A includes a high speed RS-232C port (19,200bps) as standard equipment for networking using CLASS-Agent or Chromatopac manager software programs.

Dual format floppy disk drive The C-R8A has a floppy disk drive compatible with both MS-DOS format and C-R4A/7A format. It is possible to share the data between PC based workstation and/or other Chromatopacs. You can edit Basic program on a PC as a text file, it is easy to transfer data and Basic file via a floppy disk.

Space saving size Comparing the C-R6A, the C-R8A is smaller but includes slots for options. C-R8A: 340(W) x 380(D) x 150(H) mm, approx. 5kg

Digital linkage via optical cable The C-R8A can connect with the Shimadzu other products (e.g. SCL-10AVP) that has optical cable communication capability by a optical cable. In this case, simultaneous 2 channel data processing is possible.
