Applied Biosystems - Voyager DE
Manufactured by Applied Biosystems
Linear MALDI TOF Mass Spectrometer
The Voyager-DE™ Workstation is a bench top MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer that includes a linear analyzer, instrument software, and analysis tools.
The Instrument Hardware includes Delayed Extraction® technology, a video camera with dedicated monitor for magnified view of sample spot and laser position, 337-nm nitrogen laser producing 3-ns pulses at repetition from 3-20Hz*, negative ion operation, ion acceleration between +25 kV and –20 kV, low mass gate that filters matrix ion interference, automatic vacuum system with one air-cooled turbo pump.
The minimum data system supplied with this instrument is a 1 GHz Pentium III (minimum) processor with, 512 MB system RAM, 40-GB hard drive, CDR/DVD-ROM drive, high-resolution flat screen LCD color monitor, Microsoft® Windows XP® operating platform.
The following electrical and space requirements must be met for installation; dedicated circuit: 20 A at 120 V (60 Hz) or 10 A at 230 V (50 Hz). Footprint: 165 cm high x 64 cm wide x 69 cm deep. Weight: approx. 300 lbs excluding data station. See site prep guide for a Voyager DE at www.jbiscientific.com.
The Voyager DE has been discontinued by Applied Biosystems, JBI Scientific, www.JBIscientific.com provides upgrades, service, and technical support for the Voyager product line.
