The Horizon Technology Solvent Trap™ recovery system captures up to 70% of the n-hexane solvent vapor from EPA Method 1664A Oil & Grease extractions, minimizing the release of n-hexane into the atmosphere.

To comply with the EPA Method 1664A recovery requirement, simply attach the exhaust line of the Speed-Vap™ III Solvent Evaporation System to the Solvent Trap™ Recovery System.

The recovery system condenses the n-hexane solvent vapor and collects it in a 500 mL flask for re-use or disposal. The optimal recovery temperature of the system is maintained by an integrated controller.
