Double Cone Mixer - DCM-6 
The Pharmag Double Cone Mixer DCM-6 is attached to the UGD Gear and driven by the UAM Motor Drive. It can be used for all free flowing products such as granules or solid/liquid media. The DCM-6 operates on the “free-fall” principle. The mixing is achieved by the rotary action of the cone combined with the sliding/shearing action produced by the inclined sides of the conus thus guaranteeing complete homogeneity of the mixing product. The efficiency of the mixing action can be optimised by the speed of the UAM motor drive and the angle of the mixing cone using the UGD reduction gear adjustment facility. Even the lightest and most difficult mixes can be processed without problems. 
 
The operating capacity depends on the product to be mixed, for example mixing powder having a high amount of fine 
particles about 3 L can be mixed at once. Mixing granules offers a capacity of about 4.5L As the DCM-6 is attached to the Universal Gear UGD the maximum speed is reduced to 40 rpm, the speed is steplessly adjustable using the UAM Motor Drive speed control. As the UAM offers a test procedure (method) filing memory for up to 16 different methods you may file the ideal setting and recall it for the next mixing sequence.
