Reproducible polymer characterization up to 220 °C

The 1260 Infinity II High-Temperature GPC System can provide information about all of today’s engineering polymers such as polyolefins, which are one of the most popular polymers with numerous applications. This information helps you with development and to predict how a given batch will process and perform in the final product. Traditionally challenging materials such as polyethylene and polyamides can be analyzed routinely regardless of detection technique. High-temperature evaporative light scattering, light scattering, and viscometry all deliver a wealth of information whatever your polymer of interest.

Features of 1260 Infinity II High-Temperature GPC System
  • Complete sample solubility – no precipitation is guaranteed and all sample-carrying components are carefully thermostatted at temperatures up to 220 °C           * Effective filtration removes additives and gels – glass-fiber and stainless-steel membranes remove fillers and any microgels, and samples are dispensed through a uniquely designed pipettor to minimize sample handling           * Excellent performance for accurate and reproducible results – a choice of detectors fitted with low-dispersion flow cells achieve excellent signal-to-noise ratios with minimal baseline drift and maximum sensitivity           * Spacious, easy-access column oven – holds up to six 300 mm columns, easily accessible for convenience and safe operation           * A choice of detectors to suit your analysis – the oven accommodates refractive index, light scattering and viscometry detectors, and a flow-cell interface for high-temperature ELSD through a heated transfer line is also available for the most complete polymer characterization           * Minimal dead volumes – reduce band broadening           * High-precision solvent delivery – the industry-standard isocratic pump delivers accurate and reproducible flow for reproducible molecular weights; gradients are now possible when using high-temperature evaporative light scattering detection to give more structural information           * Easy to program, easy to use – all aspects of instrument control and data analysis are handled by unique dedicated multi-detector GPC software, which is fully compatible with Windows 10 and on-screen help is always available.           * Avoid sample degradation, retain solubility – a unique dual-zone heated autosampler minimizes baseline disturbance and eliminates the risk of sample precipitation or degradation during a run           * Flexible solvent and waste management – solvent bottles or drums to suit your laboratory needs           * Saves valuable bench space – significantly smaller footprint than previously available           * A choice of detectors to suit your analysis – the oven accommodates refractive index, light scattering and viscometry detectors, and a flow-cell interface for high-temperature ELSD through a heated transfer line is also available for the most complete polymer characterization.
