Follow this Equipment

Solvent extraction system suitable for the separation of a substance or a group of elements from solid and semi-solid samples.

Beats Ordinary Soxhlet Extractor
Up to 5 times faster than traditional Soxhlet (hot solvent vs. cold solvent)
Low solvent consumption (high solvent recovery, up to 75%)
Limited cost per analysis

Convenience & Choice
Select from 29 on-board empty programs
Two models available to match sample load
SER 148/3, a 3-position solvent extraction system
SER 148/6, a 6-position solvent extraction system

Operator Safety
IP 55 protection from particles and liquids

Solvent Extractor - Applications and HU6 Hydrolysis Unit

Solvent extraction is used for determination of different substances present in products related to agriculture, industry or in environmental samples.

SER Series can be used, according to official methods, for determining fats, tensides, plasticizers and pesticides on many matrices, including food and feed samples, detergents, rubber and plastic formulates, and many others.

No sample transfer, coming from HU6 Hydrolysis Unit, prevents any possible sample loss, as crucibles can also be used on the two units.

Solvent Extractors - Randall Method, Faster Results

Perform single or multiple solvent extractions with Randall method, an improvement of Soxhlet technique, as hot solvents are used to speed up the analysis.
In fact, the fast solubilization made by hot solvent permits a considerable reduction of the extraction time (approx. 90 minutes).

The extraction is made by immersion of the sample in the boiling solvent, followed by a rinsing phase with cold solvent.

Maximum reproducibility is ensured, as well as a high recovery rate of the solvent used.

SER Series can be used with a wide range of sample types and with a variety of solvents, for increased flexibility.
