World Precision Instruments - MemoryFlex Surgical Scissors
MemoryFlex™surgical scissors cuts better, lasts longer and causes less trauma to tissue. The memory steel...
How is this possible? The magic lies in the memory, spring stainless steel employed in their manufacturing. Most surgical instruments are made of hardened stainless steel that requires a significant amount of carbon. The carbon aids in the stiffness but is also responsible for the brittleness, corrosiveness and inflexibility. Memory steel, on the other hand, is quite flexible and always returns to its original shape.

Features of MemoryFlex Surgical Scissors
Super Lightweight
Our new scissors are 1/3 the weight of standard stainless steel, approximating the weight of titanium while maintaining the strength, durability and survivorship of stainless steel. Because of their design and the use of basic engineering principles, these instruments only require 1/3 of the metal traditionally required for the manufacture of standard surgical instruments.
Virtually Unbreakable
Because the new line of instruments are not heat treated and have only a trace of carbon in the molecular mix, they are corrosion resistant. They are not affected by the fatiguing and destructive nature of multiple cycles in the ultrasonic bath. The high level of flex in the blades dramatically improves performance and durability.
Perfect for Left Hand Use
Additionally, the excessive shearing bias counteracts the negative 'shear reducing aspects' of use in the left hand. This makes our instruments ideal for left hand use. If you are left handed, you will notice the difference the first time you use our memory steel scissors.
