The GCxGC-TOF technology has been described in numerous scientific publications. This technique offers significant performance in the resolution of complex matrices when compared with traditional linear techniques. Despite the technique is relatively recent, there are some technological developments, such as the development of effective and consumable free modulators, which will increase the performance in terms of productivity and reduce operating costs; this will allow the technique, currently used successfully in academic and research, as well as, many laboratories for routine analyses.
