Features of BioChemGARD e3
Unique Airflow Design The BioChemGARD e3 operates with a reduced exhaust airflow and resistance. This minimizes noise and reduces the volume of conditioned air that is exhausted from the laboratory. Operating at only 664 CFM, electrical power requirements are 70% less compared to traditional B2 cabinets. The combined savings in electricity and conditioned air removal reduces the overall annual cost of operation by 49%.
Less Maintenance, Less Often Expect a longer filter life with the BioChemGARD e3’s optimized motor/blower design with a 420% minimum reserve. When it’s time to replace the filter, the exclusive ExchangeSAFE™ Sealed Access Filter Exchange System is located directly under the work surface for improved access, making the process quick while reducing exposure to contaminants.
Self-Adjusting Airflow The BioChemGARD e3 also doesn’t require manual speed control. The new StediFLOW™ VFD motor controller in the BioChemGARD e3 maintains precise airflow by self-adjusting for filter loading. This unique technology also controls the ReadySAFE™ operating mode that preserves containment conditions when the BSC is not in use, even while substantially reducing energy consumption.
Optional Fume Hood Package With our optional Fume Hood Package, the BioChemGARD e3 meets the UL requirements for Electrical/Mechanical Safety (UL 61010-1) and the UL requirements for Material Flammability and Effectiveness of Airflow?Characteristics (UL 1805). The cabinet has been tested in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE 110-1995. Usage should be determined by a professional industrial hygienist or safety officer.
