Features of XE-2100™
The Sysmex XE-2100 utilizes the power of fluorescent flow cytometry and hydrodynamic focusing technologies. Using a unique and advanced diode laser bench, Sysmex fluorescent flow cytometry provides the sensitivity needed for measuring and differentiating cell types in whole blood and body fluid samples. Fluorescent technology and hydrodynamic focusing enable the XE-2100 to consistently differentiate normal WBC, RBC and PLT populations from abnormal populations, thereby decreasing the number of manual interventions. The XE-2100 technology provides clinically relevant and reportable parameters.
Standard
Fluorescent NRBC count with excellent sensitivity and specificity to lower review rates
Provides improved low-end sensitivity
Enables rapid reporting
Provides efficient automated correction of WBC and differential results
Immature Granulocyte Count (IG% and #) offers reportable, quantitative results for metacyelocytes, myelocytes and promyelocytes
Reduce false positive and false negative rates
Obtain result consistency by reducing tech-to-tech variation in reporting manual differentials
Improve turnaround-time with fewer manual differentials
Platelet counts by a fluorescent optical method and by traditional impedance technology to improve accuracy of very low and very high PLT counts
Obtain accurate counts when interferences are present
Offers automated judgment for reporting PLT-O or PLT-I through instrument settings
Retic: Fluorescent reticulocyte count to reduce manual confirmation methods and their inherent errors
Eliminate common interferences to avoid manual counts
Improve immature reticulocyte information (IRF)
Reportable WBC and RBC counts for all common body fluid samples (CSF, synovial and serous)
Optional
RET-He: Reticulocyte Hemoglobin content measures the incorporation of iron into the red cell to assist the physician with anemia evaluation and management (e.g., functional iron deficiency anemia)
Provides rapid and direct analysis of an earlier stage of RBC development
Is an established parameter used in KDOQI (Kidney Disease Outcome Quality Initiative) guidelines for assessing the initial iron status of patients
Supports effective monitoring of costly drug protocols for cell stimulation
IPF: Immature Platelet Fraction to help the physician monitor thrombopoietic activity of the bone marrow
Ensures accuracy and sensitivity in measurement of immature platelets
Offers delineation of abnormal platelet populations seen by physicians in disease states such as AITP (autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura) or TTP (thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura)
Enables rapid reporting of results for prompt clinical information
HPC: Quantitative Hematopoietic Progenitor Cell count that can be used by physicians to determine the presence of hematopoietic progenitor cells in peripheral blood and cord blood samples
Offers quality information to better assist physicians with patient treatment protocols
Allows rapid analysis versus conventional methods for prompt determination of optimal stem cell harvest time
Reduces costs as the system does not require additional reagents, sample volume or specific technical expertise
