Axio Lab.A1 for Polarization is available as a polarization stand as well as a conoscopy stand, both equipped with rotating stages. The conoscopy stand features a built-in Amici-Bertrand lens which is coupled to the analyzer – ruling out any operational error in that regard – as well as a built-in depolarizer.     
     
The system provides flexibility in selecting and switching between various contrasting methods. In addition, the circular polarization device for transmitted light enables viewing and imaging devoid of angular-dependent extinction and is ideal for the determination of optical characteristics of minerals.     
     
Ideally equipped as a student microscope, German Technical Inspection Authority (TUV) approved ergonomics ensure maximum comfort during operation. A 35W HAL lamp is integrated in the stand for transmitted light imaging only. The 4x Pol nosepiece keeps all relevant objectives handy.
